What New Changes in FIFA 23 Gameplay?

At this point, FIFA gameplay will feel very familiar to those familiar with the game and its annual releases. That said, FIFA 23 will be making some very important gameplay changes in FIFA 23.
Foremost among them is cross-play. After introducing the feature for testing in FIFA 22, EA has now confirmed that it will be available in FIFA 23 and will be available at launch.
In FIFA 22, cross-play was tested in online friendly matches and online seasons, but EA has confirmed (opens in a new tab) that it will "expand cross-play availability to more game modes in FIFA 23, as well as increase the inclusion of number of platforms.”
Then, in FIFA 23, cross-platform play "will be available to players of the same platform generation. The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia and PC versions of FIFA 23 will be compatible with each other, with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 23 will be compatible with each other."
The feature will be available in FUT Division Rivals (except Co-op), FUT Champions, FUT Ultimate Online Draft, FUT Online Friendlies (except Co-Op), FUT Play a Friend, Online Friendly Matches, Online Seasons (except Co-op) and Virtual Bundesliga Competitive Germany Game modes available to players.
EA says it will initially enable cross-play for all players the first time they launch the game, but you can opt out at any time.
Women's club football will be in the game for the first time, and EA says you'll be able to "play as a women's club team" for the first time in EA SPORTS FIFA history, since Barclays Women's Premier League and Division 1 Arkema at launch Added FIFA 23. "
The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand will also be coming to the game as "free post-launch content updates". More information on the women's team and these tournaments will be provided later in the summer.
